Service Description

Depart from Marina Bay Sands by train to two popular religious sites – the Kwan Im Tong Hood Cho Temple and Srikrishnan Temple where local worshippers throng the halls with morning prayers. Nearby we find the busy Albert Mall and the once infamous Bugis Street with its own interesting anecdote. We then train to the outskirts of Chinatown at quiet neighbourhood of Spottiswoode Park and Blair Road where the highlight is the Peranakan Houses. Proceed to Tiong Baru Estate, visit the bakeries, market and the Singapore Improvement Trust (SIT) flats. Lunch at Tiong Baru Hawker Court above the Tiong Baru wet market. Return to Marina Bay Sands by train. Meeting Point: Marina Bay Sands Hotel Lobby (main door) You are encouraged to be in casual attire (in view of our weather), wear a cap or bring an umbrella as there will be walking in the outside at suitable pace. All participants must be physically mobile. Please bring along your free MRT Rotary transport card for local transportation. Lunch and admission fee are not included (refer to below). Tour is 4 hours with a STB English speaking licensed guide starting at 9am. Min group size: 4 adults. Additional costs: Lunch @ a local food court is an experience in itself where you mingle and jostle with the locals seeking to satisfy their food craves. Our food stalls are government-certified, offering clean, healthy and diverse tastes to suit everyone. You can even ask for less salt or sugar or more vegetables. A typical lunch at a local food court costs from S$4-6 pp (USD$2-3) on average.
