Service Description

Depart from Marina Bay Sands to where colonial Singapore first begun by our founder Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles. Starting at the Landing Site, we listen to interesting anecdotes and explore the stories behind the Art House at the Old Parliament, Victoria Theatre and Memorial Hall, Asian Civilization Museum, Cavenagh and Anderson Bridges and Fullerton Hotel. Then proceed taking the stairs to Fort Canning Park for an ancient past. At Fort Canning Spice Garden, visit the Shrine of Iskandar Shah, Fort Gate, Battlebox (former Far East Command), Fort Canning Centre (Centre for Performing Arts). Enjoy a local urban lunch experience at Plaza Singapura. We return to Marina Bay Sands by train. You are encouraged to be in casual attire (in view of our weather), wear a cap or bring an umbrella as there will be walking in the outside at suitable pace. All participants must be physically mobile. Please bring along your free MRT Rotary transport card for local transportation. Lunch and admission fee are not included (refer to below).
